Rescom was founded in 1979 by Don Agnew, our current President, Mark’s, father. Although Don started as a commercial builder, his intention from the get-go was to also offer residential construction.
Don was all about the relationship. Over time, he became the trusted builder for his commercial clients, many of whom became good friends. Naturally, they started asking him to build and renovate their homes too.
After passing the Rescom torch, Don couldn’t stay retired. He dabbled in “out of this world” projects with Rescom Homes – United States.

Nice to Meet You
Rescom is in my blood. As a young man, summers were spent in the family business working as a labourer, carpenter, landscaper, crew lead and more. I always felt there was more to learn, so I ventured away in pursuit of further education and experience in order to gain the skillset to help Rescom continue its growth.
This started with a University of Alberta BComm, articling at a “Top 4” accounting firm to obtain my Chartered Accountant professional designation, and ended as the Chief Financial Officer for a multinational, 500+ employee construction and manufacturing company. Fifteen years later I was ready to join Rescom again, this time in a senior management capacity…
Today, I lead by building a team that is highly skilled, capable, and personable. I am passionate about empowering people to excel at what they do best. There’s no better way to ensure a positive experience for our clients.
In our “downtime”, my wife and I are busy enjoying our two young kids. Summer, you’ll find us wrapped up in lake-life. Winter, we hit the slopes as a family!
